Kate Moss Poem from Tar Magazine via Style Like U
I love the street-style blogs as much as the next person, but Style Like U is a deeper look into the closets of fashion-devotees. I recently stumbled across this site via Through A Glass Darkly. The site features interviews of the stylees (lame word!) in their creative spaces (mostly at work or at their home) and takes snaps of their prized pieces and pins down what makes their sartorial-spidey-sense tingle! It’s less celebrity focussed and the people featured can range from the Brand Specialist for Jeffrey Campbell with a penchant for the cowboy western to a 12 year old girl spotted at a party. It’s unlike the Sartorialist in that they endeavour to get to know their subjects a bit more, to get to know the person behind the clothes. That’s probably what I love most about the blog, it’s much more personal - which is what style should be! Photos are all very well and good but actual conversation with the people is really insightful.

flaviia:

Can’t wait to see this film.
James Franco as Allen Ginsberg *sigh*

I listened to a live recording of Allen Ginsberg reciting Howl at a poetry reading, but I couldn’t get into it :( Oh well, any excuse to watch some Franco is good enough for me!
